The mind sets of a new generation that is comfortable with collaboration and with using current technology will need to learn how to fuse with more traditional approaches. "Command and control" may well morph into "balancing empowerment with control" as new ways of organising emerge.
In order to pinpoint enterprises (both private and governmental) that are following this pathway and to provide a vehicle to guide, encourage and support development, the "entity" Centres for Co-Creative Enterprise has been established. Typically, a "centre" could be an innovation "cluster;" a traditional supply or value chain undergoing transformation and renewal; product design and manufacture establishments adopting "networked demand creation," interconnected with "customer touch points." New age jargon intertwines with the old.
People working in such centres will feel their capabilities are being fully utilised and that, together, all challenges can be met co-creatively.
We will be identifying candidate centres. They will be comfortable with the "balancing empowerment with control" style and be open to testing the value network approach for achieving it. We will expect to see activities (1) which relate to:
- Co-creating
- Dynamic teaming
- Knowledge networking
And these will be supported by a culture that supports (2):
- Collaboration
- Openness
- Sharing
- Interdependence
- Integrity
Ultimately, the creative potential of millions will be unleashed to the extent that meets their capacity to change, and their interest in building a new prosperity.
